May 27th to May 31st 2002
MONDAY MAY 27 Saturn and Pluto opposition complete Saturn and Pluto completed their opposition yesterday. Did you feel the earth move? Of course not! These two planets were never going to actually turn our world upside down - they were merely going to threaten us with the possibility of it until such time as we saw how silly some of our plans and ideas were. We have lived through a year of fear. Soon we will enter a much more inspiring era. The next big celestial turning point comes with the solar eclipse on June 10.
TUESDAY MAY 28 Human beings are lacking.... Experts think the asteroid belt was once a planet. But what did that planet represent? What did it stand for? And what is it that human beings are now missing as a result? Margaret Corleys from East London thinks the answer is 'Respect'. She writes: "This human quality, like that former planet, is conspicuous by its absence." Audrey Yeardley, from the Isle of Skye, feels: "The missing planet was deliberately broken up by the Cosmic Intelligence as a kind of universal game. Every one of us carries a promise of something and when we discover it we connect with one of the fragmented pieces. We are then registered to claim a small prize." Hmmm... a small prize... I wonder...
WEDNESDAY MAY 29 No thought for the day today
THURSDAY MAY 30 Dragons are wise... "Dear Jonathan, Last week, in some of your Scorpio forecasts you made mention of dragons. I understand that this was a metaphor and that most people think that such creatures do not exist. Nonetheless it bothered me deeply. I work with dragons in their realm. They are not to be feared. They can be very helpful and wise. I have never met one that uses negative or evil energy. I suggest that you take a look at the positive aspects of dragons. You may have dragon allies watching over you. Sissy Taylor-Maloy, Talahassie Florida" Errrrr, okay...
FRIDAY MAY 31 Air travel Some while ago, I said it was safe to travel by air in the run-up to the Saturn-Pluto opposition. Several readers have pointed out that there have been incidents in that period. Some activities are never completely safe. There is always an element of risk attached to any form of travel. Indeed, we take a big risk every time we walk across a busy road. I should really have said that it would be no more dangerous than usual. For the record, I travelled by air on Sunday, just as the moon was full and the opposition was at its peak. Click here for Friday's Astronews. With an article on the Jupiter cycles plus Astrodiary. From Monday, I will be taking afew days off. Some of the world's finest astrologers will be holding the fort in my absence. You are in for a treat.
