August 13th to August 19th 2007
MONDAY August 13 Spaceship Earth Some say this planet is like a space shuttle, yearly circling the sun in a predictable pattern. Others say we more closely resemble a spaceship because the Sun itself is orbiting a distant point in the Milky Way. It only looks as if our journey is repetitive because the whole solar system travels with us! Whichever view is true, we inhabit a kind of giant mobile home which, every so often, passes through the path of a comet. Lumps of ice and dusty debris collide with our atmosphere, burning up to produce the shooting stars we witnessed this weekend. |
TUESDAY August 14 Crystal clear Dear Jonathan, When I first met my partner she introduced me to many types of crystals she had scattered around her house. Now we have bought a place together. I put all the crystals on a shelf. She's kicking up a fuss, though, because it's going to cause bad vibes if they are not separated. Is she right? Ian

WEDNESDAY August 15 Taking heed of synchronicity In my life, I have encountered many synchronicities. When things just turn up as I am thinking about them, I see it as a message, encouraging me to pursue my dreams. I have made substantial progress, but in moments of weakness I wonder, 'Am I right to have heeded those signs?' What do you think? Sharon

THURSDAY August 16 What are these experiences? Dear Jonathan, Ever since I was young, I have had episodes which are like a cross between a deja-vu and a premonition. These sudden unexpected occurrences leave me feeling like I'm in a time warp. On the one hand it is as if I have experienced the moment before, but on the other, I see a brief snapshot of a coming event. I get a colour, a shape and a sense of what to expect. It's usually right. Do you know what this experience is called? Carole

SATURDAY August 18 Reading other people's forecasts People often ask if it is unlucky to read forecasts for zodiac signs other than your own. I usually reply, 'it depends why you want to'. If you're looking up your moon and rising sign on top of your sun sign, I say, don't. These forecasts are not designed to work that way. Likewise, if you're trying to know the mind of a loved one: don't 'spy'. Speak instead. But sometimes a set of predictions can tell us plenty about the general state of the world. This week's Taurus, Gemini and Cancer readings hint at dramas that may soon play out on the 'global stage.' |
