MONDAY November 19 Sharing the same vision Dear Jonathan, On Sunday I woke with two female names in my head. One was Nagulu or Namulu. Roberta
Dear Jonathan,
Dear Jonathan,
Dear Everyone,

TUESDAY November 20 Are there really 13 signs? Hi Jonathan, I am a Sagittarian but I often find the Scorpio prediction more accurate. I remember reading that there were originally 13 houses in the zodiac and we should always read the sign in front? Is that right? Amanda

WEDNESDAY November 21 Large Hadron Collider Dear Jonathan I hear the "Large Hadron Collider" located beneath the earth in Switzerland is being switched on next week. This massive particle accelerator involves 7000 scientists who hope to produce the elusive "Higgs Boson", often dubbed the God Particle, and get definitive answers about the nature of space and time. But some think this may have devastating results! What do you predict? Lee
Dear Lee |
THURSDAY November 22 Giant step for mankind Imagine you are an ant. Every so often, a giant cloud appears above you. If you don't scurry away it may descend to squash you. What causes it? Most ants blame the weather. Some "scientist ants" though, have a theory involving things called "people". These "people" could be unbelievably enormous. Those clouds could be just the soles of their feet. That, very roughly, is the kind of idea the Hadron Collider, in Switzerland, is being built to investigate. I made light of the experiment yesterday but actually, I predict it will soon revolutionise our understanding of time... and space. |
FRIDAY November 23 No Thought for the Day |
SATURDAY November 24 Full moon comment Another week, another Full Moon. Once every four weeks, we get one of these, regular as clockwork. Sadly, though, we don't have a clockwork calendar. We count the months according to some silly, primitive system, dreamed up by some bad mathematicians many centuries ago. We ignore that beautiful, obvious, timepiece in the sky and the 28-day cycle that the whole of the rest of nature follows. No wonder we sometimes feel so out of tune with ourselves and with the world around us. The real calendar is the one in the sky. Later this week, its influence may become unignorable. |
