October 8th to October 14th 2007
MONDAY October 8 Friends in high places Historic heads of state have openly asked astrologers when to commence campaigns. In recent times, though, prime ministers and presidents had to hold clandestine consultations. In the eighties, for example, the Gorbachev/Reagan summits were timed to tie in with major planetary alignments. These were a great success, but when the truth about the cosmic connection came out, the Reagans were embarrassed. Great leaders, though, still like to know what their stars say. On Friday's page, I advised British prime minister Gordon Brown against an election. On Saturday, he dropped the idea. Gordon, if you're reading, I'll give you more advice tomorrow. |
TUESDAY October 9 A billion big bangs... Dear Jonathan, While we're taling about the big bang, how about this. Just as each living creature breathes, our universe has a breath too. With one outbreath the whole cosmos expands, liberating energy and creating evolution. When it breathes in, everything contracts once more. A billion, billion big bangs. An endless going and coming. cheers, Loulou
Dear Loulou, |
WEDNESDAY October 10 A living, breathing universe... Dear Jonathan, Last week, you questioned the idea of the Big Bang. Others, though, insist the theory must be valid because the universe is expanding. What, though, if just as each living creature breathes, our universe takes a breath too? When it exhales, the cosmos expands, liberating energy and creating evolution. When it breathes in, everything contracts. Loulou

THURSDAY October 11 Secret World Once again, we are in 'the dark of the moon'. You can easily sense this if you take a few moments to sit still, in silence. Close your eyes. Relax. Focus on your breathing. Open your ears. Listen. What do you hear? What do you feel? There's an extra special something in the air. An atmosphere of electrical intensity. Mystics and psychics say, at times like this, they find it easier to peer through the 'veil' that separates the future from the present. It's easier too, to tell what people are secretly thinking and feeling. Tune in. Work magic. |
FRIDAY October 12 Post not so haste Mercury is now 'stationary'. This weekend, it begins to reverse through the zodiac. It won't even start to move forward again till early November. It will be nearly the end of next month till it gets back to where it is now. This is all, of course, just an optical illusion. No planets ever actually move backwards. Even so, it is a convincing illusion with great symbolic significance. In Britain, the post service is on strike! Elsewhere in the world, there's little sign yet of disruption and delay in the realm of commerce and communication, but I predict it will come soon. |
SATURDAY October 13 Mercury on the turn Some people know a little too much about astrology. Whenever phone calls end in wrong numbers, computers misbehave - or vehicles break down - they blame it all on the planet Mercury. The look up in the book to see if the communication and transport planet is standing still. They'd be better off calling the company, or rebooting their machines, or going to the garage for a service. Often, even when Mercury IS changing direction, the issues that arise are ones that can still be easily and quickly fixed with a little common sense. Mercury's on the turn this week. Be wary. But don't beware! |
