September 10th to September 16th 2007
MONDAY September 10 Donkey Work I am away this week, visiting more historic, sacred sites across the globe while I research my forthcoming book about a powerful ancient prophecy. I will be back by the weekend. I am leaving your daily forecasts in the capable hands of my colleague, Steve Judd. Steve is an exceptional astrologer with a worldwide reputation for uncanny accuracy in world event predictions and he is one of only a very few people worldwide to hold the MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology. His office is in Bath, and his website is www.stevejudd.com. Meanwhile, here's another picture of me and that Donkey on the hill above Jerusalem. This time, you can also see the Donkey's owner. He's there every day he says, in case a messiah turns up and needs a donkey to ride into the holy city to fulfil an old testament prophecy. 2000 years ago, this prophecy was already old and famous. When Jesus decided to ride into town on that beast of burden he knew full well what a significant move he was making. Jesus himself left a prophecy about the future of Jerusalem, the night before he died. He wasn't far wrong. Today, three faiths lay claim to this tiny city. It contains the site where Mohammed ascended, the place where Jesus died and the site of the most important Jewish temple. That's not all that these religions have in common. Jews, Christians, Moslems faiths are based, at least in part, on remarkably similar foundations. For centuries, they have been fighting, viciously and needlessly. Soon though, I predict this will change. Tony Blair's current mission to help negotiate a lasting peace is due to be surprisingly successful, simply because astrologically, the time for peace has come. |
TUESDAY September 11 Armageddon? I am in the Middle East this week, visiting more historic, sacred sites while I research my forthcoming book about a powerful ancient prophecy. I will be back by the weekend. Until then, I am leaving your daily forecasts in the capable hands of my colleague, Steve Judd. Steve is an exceptional astrologer with a worldwide reputation for uncanny accuracy in world event predictions. His book, The Bedroom Astrologer, will be published next year. He works in Bath, and his website is www.stevejudd.com. Meanwhile, you may be interested to know that, while I was in Israel, I experienced Armageddon! I did not go into a prophetic trance and foresee the long feared end of the world. I just took the coast road to Haifa. Har means mountain. Meggido is a place near Mount Carmel. All those dark and gloomy visions of 'Armageddon' actually refer to a mountain that was once called "Har-Meggido". Terrible battles have been fought in this area before now. It's possible (though unlikely) that one day, more such fights could break out. Right now though, it's one of the most peaceful places on the planet. The Bahai faith have their headquarters there. It takes the form of an enormous, beautiful, many levelled garden, lovingly cultivated on the side of the mountain. The Bahai believe (as most religions do) that their founder was a Messiah. Unusually, they also have room in their belief for all the other founders and all the other teachings of all the other religions It's very accommodating of them. Now of course, you can argue that Armageddon is not just the name of a place but the name of a terrible battle that will one day rage across the world. But if that's so, why look to the future? The last couple of thousand years have been one long war across one tiny planet. The last century, in particular, has been rife with killing, across the globe, on a previously unparalleled stage. My official prediction, as an astrologer and a maker of predictions, is that planet earth has HAD its armageddon. It is "all over bar the shouting" plus a few residual outbreaks of sniping, shooting and suicide bombing. There will be no global thermo-nuclear meltdown. There may yet though, sooner than we think, come a jolly nice, lasting, worldwide fashion for turning spears into pruning hooks and swords into plough shares. |

FRIDAY September 14 Jonathan back I am back from the Middle East and have now started to write and record your predictions for next week. Steve Judd's final set of forecasts appear below. I am grateful to have had such a fine deputy. Next week, I will talk about my travels. Meanwhile, here's an intriguing point. In search of ancient prophecies, I went to Jerusalem where people were busily preparing for the feast of Rosh Hashana and to Giza, Egypt, where folk were preparing for the fast of Ramadan. Movements of the moon dictate the dates of both festivals. And both began yesterday! My colleague, Steve is an exceptional astrologer with a worldwide reputation for uncanny accuracy in world event predictions. His book, The Bedroom Astrologer, will be published next year. His office is in Bath, and his website is www.stevejudd.com. |

SUNDAY September 16 Mars and Pluto Mars and Pluto now oppose each other. Pluto, though, can't be seen. It's a tiny object, visible only through a telescope. Scientists have recently 'downgraded it'. 'Not big enough to be a proper planet,' they say. We astrologers know differently. Size isn't everything. Pluto is powerful, the more so because it is a 'hidden' body with 'hidden influence'. Pluto governs hidden agendas, secret plans, deeply private passions, obsessions that sweep the world... and tiny details that make all the difference. Some of those factors are now coming to light... for those with eyes to see! Expect a dramatic yet deeply enlightening week. |
