President's Day
As it's President's Day in the USA, millions of people will have the day off. If they're anything like me, they'll find it hard to relax; in our 24/7 world, there's always so much to do it's hard to switch off. Yet as the Sun moves into Pisces, it reminds us of the value of letting go. If we're only ever hyper-alert and focused, how can we generate the energy to maintain the state of busyness? Relaxation is a form of healing. And today, we can make time for self-care, no matter how busy (or not!) our schedule.

Loyalty
With the Sun in free-flowing Pisces, it's going to be easier to move on from stagnant situations. Where we once felt obliged to prove ourselves by trying to instigate change, we'll find it easier to accept that it's OK to let go. Although the skies aren't necessarily focusing on relationships, we're being encouraged to examine where our loyalties lie and to question whether we're sacrificing too much. It's time to look at what makes our hearts sing. And pursue connections that offer support.

Maiden Voyage
220 years ago, the world's first steam locomotive made its maiden voyage. It must have been an exhilarating sight. Although we can't see the planet's influence, we'll certainly feel the effect of Venus moving to converge with Mars; it's creating a head of steam that will send emotions roaring off like runaway trains! Fortunately, Uranus' influence means we won't be stuck on a single track. If romantic adventures are started today, we can access the steering wheel (even if the brakes are hard to locate)!

James Blunt
Courage comes in many forms. Although there are classic general-types, (like George Washington) who demonstrate bravery in battle, there's another kind, that we can all access which enables us to express our feelings. As an ex-army captain, who vigorously defends love ballads on Twitter/X, singer James Blunt, (who, like George, has his birthday today) straddles both these worlds. As Venus and Mars link, the fight to be different and authentic will win admiration today.

Unique and Authentic
Yesterday, we talked about fighting for the right to be unique and authentic: freedom of expression is vital to our well-being. We're tribal creatures too; we want to be part of something larger than ourselves. Yet despite our language skills, we don't always communicate very well. Today, as Mercury moves into Pisces, it's our ability to listen that enables deeper connections. And the weekend's Full Moon suggests that if we dare to show vulnerability, we can gain support and cooperation.

Saturday February 24
Your Weekly Horoscope
This week, following this weekend's Full Moon, the Sun, Mercury and Saturn all converge in Pisces. The cosmos is inspiring us with the insight and the confidence to say what we mean, mean what we say, and talk about issues that are close to our hearts. With Venus and Mars close together, and linking to abundant Jupiter, we'll have opportunities to fulfil our desires. If we speak from our hearts, we can develop relationships that support us as we move on, taking steps towards achieving important goals.
