People are often only too quick to tell each other things that they really ought not to express. Ironically, often they are woefully reticent about airing issues that really do need to be adressed. As various dramas play themselves out in your personal life this year, as emotional soap operas arise and financial changes occur, a common theme will lnik all the key events in your life. It will be a motif about the importance of communicating what you understand and being strong about it. Allied to this vital issue will be the need to recoginse that others do not always know what we know or feel what we feel. If we want to get a point across, we first have to be familiar with their frame of mind - and their frame of reference too. It's as true of people we are close to as it is of strangers. And it's about the only point you need to be aware of in 2005. For Sedna, the planet of emotional intelligence is effectively urging you to raise your consciousness and deepen your understanding.

As long as you are willing to work on developing your sensitivity in the area of communication, you'll find it easy to get where you want and need to be this year. You have an admirable ability to err on the side of caution. Sometimes, though, you err so far to that side, you end up losing your balance. You miss out on packages of genuine opportunity with your name written on the top, just because you are so busy crawling underneath, looking for warnings in small print. Your fingers may still smart from a time when they got burnt... but if you don't extend them out into a few more pies this year, you'll never get all you deserve from life!

Sedna, the planet of emotional intelligence, may only just have been discovered but she's already proving to be a powerful force. Currently she can be found in the part of your chart that governs risk. The clear implication here is that you need, in the coming year, to develop a mature, wise and respectful relationship with the whole process of 'faith' and the whole issue of where faith should be placed. A respectful relationship must, by definition, be one that involves discrimination. You can't generalise about risk, any more than you can make sweeping statements about love. All occurrences must be assessed separately and judged on their indiviudual merits.

So having established that the risks you need to take in 2005 have nothing to do with horse-races or lotteries, we have to ask where and how you are going to gamble your love, energy, commitment, time and money? Regardless of past experience or of disappointment and problems that you may have had in the past, right now, there's the opportunity in 2005 to do something very ambitious and exciting about a cause or plan that's very close to your heart. If you pursue that vision and give it all that you've got, then you will find in 2005 that your economic needs are met and your current problems and difficulties diminish. Whilst it won't all be plain sailing and there will be hairy moments, you will grow closer, each day, to the understanding that you are ultimately in a very stable situation and that, in making a leap of faith towards a wise and inspiring idea, you have made a truly brilliant move.

Love may be "never having to say you are sorry." but that doesn't mean that in love, we are all entitled to go around saying that we are NOT sorry. There are times when sorry is not so much the hardest word as the softest. It is when there's no possibility of going back over something that's happened in the past and making it OK, that trouble can really set in. None of us ever benefits from feeling that life contains an issue we will never resolve, a memory we can't ever face again or a difficulty which is going to remain problematic, no matter what we do.

That's bad for us as individuals and it is bad for us as couples, too. So, er... why would I be mentioning this, to you, at the beginning of 2005? Well, let's just say, that the influence of the new planet Sedna, combined with the overall influence of your ruling planet, Saturn, as it now begins to edge its way slowly towards the end of your opposite sign, is clearly speaking about your need to develop more flexibility.

But, at the same time, you do need to move on from past problems and there ARE areas where the slate needs to be wiped clean. Sedna, according to the myths and legends of the ancient Inuit people, was the mother to many children of wildly differing natures. To that extent at least, she is a goddess of fecundity and diversity. The tiny new planet at the edge of our solar system, though, symbolises many other things too including the ability to cope wisely with matters that might normally produce very bad reactions.
